Aftercare

Aftercare

When your vehicle is ready we will deliver it straight to your door where one of our team will give you a full handover that includes how to use the vehicle.  A month after your vehicle has been delivered we will revisit you to make sure that everything is running smoothly.

Servicing and repairs

All our wheelchair accessible vehicles come with three years warranty up to 60,000 miles (longer for Motability customers). Should anything go wrong with your vehicle, we are your first point of contact to arrange its repair.

Our aim is to keep you on the road so every year we will carry out a health check on the conversion elements of your vehicle and what’s more we’ll do it at your home. So while you put your feet up we will check to make sure the ramp/lift and wheelchair restraints are still working as they should be.

Insurance

Our partners at Fish Insurance specialise in providing cover for wheelchair accessible vehicles. Their policies are specifically designed to protect people with disabilities and unlike mainstream providers they are able to give discounts on insurance for WAVs.

Motability Customers

If you are on the Motability Scheme you will also benefit from a comprehensive package as part of the lease on your wheelchair accessible vehicle, including:

  • Annual service carried out by the dealer

  • MOT when the vehicle reaches three years old

  • Tyre replacement or repair

  • Windscreen and windows cover

  • Insurance through RSA Motability

  • 24-hour RAC breakdown cover

When we deliver your vehicle, you will receive a handbook that explains all aspects of your cover and who to contact if you need help. Any critical repairs that prevent you from driving your WAV will be attended to within 72 hours and if your vehicle is out-of-action for more than 48 hours we will make arrangements to provide an alternative vehicle.
