Exclusive Motability Event from Ford

Visitors to Stoneacre in York will have the opportunity to see some of the most popular Ford wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs) at an exclusive three-day event to showcase its range of Motability approved vehicles. From Friday 26 to Sunday 28 October, Cartwright Mobility will be exhibiting two of its Ford WAVs at the dealership in Monks Cross including the new Tourneo Custom.

Whether this is the first time you’ve considered leasing a wheelchair accessible vehicle through the Motability Scheme or you’re ready to exchange your current vehicle for a new one, this is a great opportunity to browse lots of vehicles all under one roof. Visitors will be able to see first-hand Cartwright’s brand new Ford Tourneo Custom and the popular Ford Transit Custom.

Ford Transit Custom

This comfortable rear passenger wheelchair accessible vehicle has a high-roof for a spacious, bright feeling inside with plenty of room to accommodate the whole family. Although classed by Motability as a ‘medium’ WAV in overall size, the Transit Custom is deceptively big with space for up to eight people and a fully automatic rear platform lift. The two-litre diesel is available in automatic or manual and comes with a host of premium finishes like air conditioning and parking sensors as standard.

Ford Tourneo Custom – NEW

This is an opportunity to get a first look at the new wheelchair accessible vehicle from Cartwright Mobility with a lowered floor and a manually folding ramp for rear passenger access. The Tourneo Custom has space for five people and is perfect for families with siblings who want to sit together. The wheelchair position is sandwiched between two passenger seats to create a row of three in the back of the vehicle. Available in manual and automatic this versatile two-litre diesel comes with privacy glass as standard and separately controlled rear air conditioning.

Motability is a Government-backed scheme that allows you to exchange your higher rate mobility allowance for a five year lease on a wheelchair accessible vehicle. The Scheme includes everything you need to run your vehicle including insurance, servicing and a complete breakdown package – all you need to do is add fuel.  To browse the Ford WAVs on offer through the Scheme and find out more about how to make an application, join us between 26 October and 28 October at Stoneacre York.
