Your privacy is important to us and we are committed to ensuring your data is processed lawfully and fairly. This privacy notice sets out what personal information we collect about you and how we use it. What information do we collect?


1. Information you give us

Making an enquiry

When you make an enquiry about our products by phone, in-person or via email we may ask you for your name and contact details, including your address, telephone numbers and email. We also ask for this information when you book a home demonstration, request a call-back or a brochure using the digital forms on our website. We will keep your data for as long as necessary to fulfil your request and thereafter for legitimate business interests up to one year after our last correspondence with you.

Placing an order

When you place an order for a vehicle or an adaptation through the Motability Scheme, we will need to collect additional information about you including:

• Driving license details
• National insurance number
• Details of your benefit award
• Motability customer number
• Motoring convictions and accidents

This information is required by the Motability Scheme to fulfil your order and will only be kept by Cartwright Mobility for up to one year after the end of your lease period.

If you chose to finance your purchase privately we will keep your details for as long as is necessary to fulfil your order and meet our obligations in your service level agreement.

We like to keep in touch with our customers to keep them updated on product updates and news. We will always ask your permission first and you have the right to opt-out of receiving marketing communications at any time (see more under Your Rights below).


2. Cookies on our website

We use cookies on our website to understand more about how visitors are using our site so we can make improvements to it. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your computer if you agree.

Facebook Facebook places both a Pixel and a cookie to measure, optimise and build audiences for advertising campaigns served on Facebook. In particular, it enables tracking how traffic moves between devices when accessing the website and Facebook, to ensure that Facebook advertising for this site is seen by those users who are most likely to be interested in such advertising by analysing which content a user has viewed and interacted with on this website.

3. Information provided by third parties

We receive personal information from visitors who submit an enquiry form on (3S projects limited).  We collect your name, telephone number, email address and general location. Cartwright Mobility will only keep your personal data for as long as we need to fulfil the purposes of your original request and thereafter for legitimate business interests up to a year after our last correspondence with you.


How we use your personal data

Contractual obligations

Most of the personal data that we collect is used to fulfil our contractual obligation to supply you with goods or services that you have requested. When you begin negotiations with us or enter into a contract to buy something from us then we will use your personal data to fulfil your request.

Legitimate business interest

If we have a relationship with you then we may contact you where we think that it is appropriate and relevant for legitimate business interests. For example, if you have asked us for information or visited our website, then there is a reasonable expectation that we will process you data. We may use your data to:

  • Track and record your visits to the website;
  • Analyse the performance of our website and make improvements; and
  • For internal analysis and research.

Consent-based permission

If we are unable to rely on legitimate interests or any other grounds set out in the GDPR to process your personal data, we will obtain consent from you to the processing. We may use data you have provided:

Who we share your data with

We are an approved Motability Scheme dealer and we collect data of those people wishing to join the Scheme on their behalf. This data is shared with Motability Operations Ltd in accordance with their privacy notice.


How we store and protect your data

We take the security of your data very seriously and regularly review our data protection policies.

Your data is stored securely with access limited to only those people in the organisation who have a business need to know.


What rights do I have?

Where you provided your consent for us to process your data you have a right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can do so by emailing us at or phoning Steve Shaw on 01302 279265. As soon as we receive notification that you wish to withdraw consent we will no longer process your data.

You also have the right to:

• Ask to see what data we hold about you
• Ask us to update or put right anything that is incorrect
• Ask us to delete your data completely
• Ask us to stop or restrict processing your data
• Ask us to move your data to another provider

If you do not wish to give us your data then we may not be able to enter into a contract with you to provide our products or services.
